Click Consult Stresses Importance of Mobile Search Marketing After Intriguing Telmetrics Mobile Search Survey Data Is Released

Cheshire, United Kingdom (18th April 2013) – Digital agency Click Consult believes that results from a recent survey conducted by Telmetrics further stresses the importance to online brands of effective mobile search marketing.


As Telmetrics outlined in a press release drafted with partner xAd, their ‘UK Mobile Path-to-Purchase’ study surveyed 1500 British smartphone an




d tablet users and accumulated data about mobile search marketing behaviour. It aimed to explore what consumers were searching for on mobile devices and how that impacted on their eventual purchasing patterns.

The top three reasons for searching via mobile were for pricing look ups and comparisons, review look ups and location look ups. Once they had completed their search, 40 per cent of respondents intended to make a purchase within one day, with 22 per cent committed to making a purchase within one hour of their search.


Location was also a key factor, with 50 per cent of respondents stating that they expect locations related to their search to be within walking distance. From a PPC perspective, one third of survey participants prefer ads that are geographically relevant, making location a bigger factor than brand awareness and promotional offers.


Also, 65 per cent of respondents said that they don’t know exactly what they are looking for specifically when searching.
